I’ve backed to Japan(Kansai Kokusai Airport/Osaka)in early of November.
Unfortunately,I stayed at official quarantine hotel at Kansai International Airport.
Today,I wanna share you the latest info of the how the quarantine hotel stay at Osaka.
Hotel Info: For Kix Arrivals
The hotel is assigned by officials.
Arrivals can’t choose the hotel by themself.
Here is the hotel list.
If you are persons who is applied the rule, you need to stay at one of the following three hotels.
NK=Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport
AP=APA Hotel
WS=??(I don’t have info)
I was assigned “NK=Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport”.
Quarantine stay at Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport
In my case,I need to stay 3 nights.
Room
I backed to Japan with no family but I assigned twin room.
There are mineral water bottles(500ml*6) on the desk and you can get Japanese green tea bottles(500ml) per lunch & dinner.
These water bottles are enough for the entire stay.
There is a humidifier.
Don’t worry Japanese dry weather!!
During your stay, you can’t get new towels but enough towels were already set.
There were 4 tooth brushes, razor,hair comb.
The room has a bathtub and there are shampoo, hair conditioner and body soap.
Meals
Here are meals during stay.
You can get breakfast(AM7:30-8:30),lunch(AM11:30-PM12:30),dinner(PM6:30-7:30).
I think it’s enough for adults and taste was great.
You can get cutlery for each meals.
It seems that you can’t get room service and food delivery service.
To do list during the quarantine term
You must take some actions by app.
My SOS
After setting “Quarantine Last date”,you need to take actions.
In my case, the setting seemed to be finished around 5PM on 1st day.
After the setting was finished, you can report your health conditions and current location after you receive the notification.
Also you will receive the phone call from Health Check Center.(This phone call is for just record.So you don’t need to talk with an operator.)
COCOA
You don’t need to take actions unless you receive an infection notification.
The day before you leave the quarantine facility
If you receive “negative” of PCR test on 3 days or 6 days(depends on the place where you come from), you can leave the facility.
You will receive the phone call about how to proceed this PCR test on the day before you leave.
In my case, following the phone call, we need to take 2 actions.
1.Receive the kit for PCR test(It was put in front of your room)
2.Submit your specimen(saliva) by 7:30AM on the departure day
The phone call mentioned that you might receive the result around 1PM-3PM but sometimes it takes more time.
If you receive “Negative”,you need to leave hotel by 5PM.
Departure day
Once you get up, you need to submit your saliva and just wait for the result.
You can receive breakfast and lunch(If you receive the result early, you may not receive lunch.)
In my case,I can receive “Negative” result around 1PM.
Suitable items for Quarantine hotels
Actually, I’m very satisfied with the quarantine hotel.
I don’t need any special or additional items.
But if you have the below items, it may be more comfortable.
- Ear plug/Eye mask:You can easily take a nap and sleep.
- Coffee/Tea:You can only get Japanese green tea during the term.
- Kindle Unlimited/Netflix:You can enjoy your stay more!
Summary:Don’t worry!Quarantine hotel is comfortable!!
I think the quarantine facility is quite comfortable and Hotel officer is polite.
The meals are tasty and enough.
Don’t worry, you just need to take some exercise !!
